 He followed the slowly sinking sun, his forehead knotted with worry. Dressed like a ragamuffin, he pulled out a small folded piece of paper: crumpled around the corners from his holey ripped pocket. He began to read the directions to the treasure. His voice trailed off as he stumbled on his way to the dilapidated cottage on the hill.

The room was utterly silent. Eerie shadows skulked across his face from the his cigarette lighter. He made his way to the far room and fumbled with the latch. His chest ached with sadness and fear. He knew it was a perilous situation. Dark clouds gathered in his heart replacing the empty void. All hopes dropped instantly as the handle broke but the lock mechanism didn't. He was trapped!
