We are discovering new energy sources as ones we have used in the past are running out and are expensive for the amount of power we need. Room 2 are exploring how renewable energy sources work and the Blue reading group have helped explain solar energy to the class though shared reading to start us off. A group are building a solar oven to discover how the sun can be used.

When the red reading group was sharing their book with us Zeke's eyes lit up. I couldn't wait to see who I was with. Connor was urgently trying to get up to get started. Everyone was yelling to share their ideas.
When we were cutting the milk containers people were glancing over each other's shoulders. I had butterflies in my stomach and was shaking as I was cutting carefully. People were staring into the cartons concentrating and I heard people whispering because they thought they were going to get it wrong. I was lost and was asking others what to do next.

I like the places we can go.
There's mountains as high as you can see.
There’s trees everywhere.
I love my country every bit of it.
My country is beside me.
Crystal seas and our crystal clear lakes.
My country is small, but it is big to me in my heart.
Trees maybe old but some are new.
Trees grow like humans grow, high into the sky.
Storms in this country are bad.
Our green grass grows fast because of the rain.
Fancy houses are cool but not everyone can afford a house. Green grass grows like a river.
My country maybe small but inside it’s beautiful.
Family that come together like the ocean connecting to each other and to land.
My land is not a city.
My land is a place where me and my family can be.
You can hear cow's moo.
There is a tall big mountain, it is very tall, you are able to see the whole town.
My home is on the hill.
