Should kids get to go to Skills and Drills? I was so exhausted at Army Skills
And Drills. My legs were so overworked from too much push ups and sit ups.
They were shaking. I think yes, we need this but not those who fight or be rude.

It gives you strength. This is about muscles. Push ups and pull ups make you
flex your muscles. This makes them grow from pipi to paua. I will be able to
arm wrestle Mahia and win!

It gives you energy. This is different to strength.  Energy is speed. Being fast
means you can win any game. If you can run fast you could win cross country.
I want to be fast to be in the olympics and win the triathlon.

Army Skills and Drills teaches you discipline. They yell at you and you have
to listen. If you don’t listen you need to do more physical work or go faster
to make you listen.

It teaches you respect. I liked the Army man. He is fun because he makes
us move. He is a soldier and he teaches us the skills from the army like a
video game. We were scared of him. His eyes were staring at us.

Helpful ideas from Mahia!

Army Skills and Drills is fun, exciting and scary. It gives you energy and
strength and teaches you discipline and respect to help you change
your behaviour. I was proud of myself.
